What an Initial Consultation Typically Looks Like

Pre-consult—evaluation of pre-consult analysis materials.

Day one—regular patient schedule, lunch with hygienists, observation of office functions, staff interviews, dinner with doctor.

Day two—no patients, workshop with entire team, full-office involved with this interactive day, including, but not limited to perio/hygiene updates, patient preservation, office meetings, case presentation acceptance for perio and long-term restorative and cosmetic dentistry, reducing cancellations and failures, and your own personal and professional areas of concern.

Day three—regular patient schedule with hygiene modifications, implementation, integrate workshop training into the practice. You will present and gain perio case acceptance with fee presentation and insurance codes. Working alongside the entire team, Dr. Steve Gutter will put Day 2’s work into practice. The staff will work on systems and scripts for scheduling, confirming, greeting, dismissing, collecting, making financial arrangements, status exams, and much more.
